Hi, I am Zoe Paschalidou - Demetriou (B.Ed) & B.A.(Psy). I live in Nicosia - CYPRUS. I am from Famagusta a town which is occupied by the turkish army (the GHOST TOWN).
I had 13 cats there, a dog, colourpoint rabbits, guinea pigs, different kind of birds, and I left them there, during the second phase of the turkish invasion of August 1974.
I also left another 3 cats (one was a Norwegian purebred) at our chalet in Kantara of the mountain Pentadaktylos, which is also occupied by the turkish troops.
In my life I was always surrounded by animals (cats, dogs, birds, hamsters). At the year 1987 and when I was 24 I became a vegetarian, and I cannot eat anything which is alive (animals, birds, fish, eggs).
In fact I am in close relation with the animals, in a very special way, so that i can take the fish from the sea by my hands, and then put it immediately back to its place!!
I hate hunting, fishing, and anything that harms nature!!
I started breeding persian cats just out of hobby. I am more interested in showing my cats than to breed them, so I have litters only once every year.
I don't have a cattery by the meaning of the word, since my cats (seven) are living at home with us as members of our family, along with our english cocker spaniel dog, called LARA. My first persian cat was THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, GIGI BOY, and he came to my house in 1997.
We are located in Nicosia - Cyprus and I must state that I feel happy and very proud of my little furry fellows, they never let me down, they have so much love to give all the time, and I could really admit to you that I AM TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THEM!!!! |
